IFRA Europe joined with the European Partnership for Alternatives to Animal Testing and Cefic-LRI to convene relevant industry and EU Members State regulatory agencies to a meeting at the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) in Helsinki on 7-8 February 2019.
The EU continues to lead the world in balancing ethics with science, although the gap with other regions is “significantly” narrowing, Charles Laroche, IFRA Europe Regional Director and industry co-chair of the European Partnership for Alternative Approaches to Animal Testing, told EurActiv.
Today, at the third Annual Review of the IDEA Project (International Dialogue for the Evaluation of Allergens), held under the auspices of the European Commission (DG SANTE) the industry has confirmed its commitment to alternative approaches to animal testing.
